The Bicester Eco-town Con

BaECON was formed at the start of 2012 as a formal group to campaign against the ill thought through proposals to site a 5,000 house estate on 850 acres of farmland north of Bicester. We are not a reactionary ‘Nimby’ group who object to this development purely on the basis of its location. Our concerns are around the total lack of democracy in the way the development has been proposed and pushed forward, and the costs and risks involved to local taxpayers.

Colin Cockshaw publishes Bicester North leaflet

BaECON member Colin Cockshaw who is standing in this year's local elections as an Independent candidate has published a leaflet to residents of the Bicester North Ward, explaining the issues around the "Eco" Town and why he has decided to stand for election to Cherwell District Council.
